We're a geek culture podcast and blog covering video games, music, food and more. We are the kinds of people who evangelize whatever we are into - it could be anything - but it's usually pretty geeky. We're casual, conversational, NSFW and hopefully interesting. We hope you enjoy it.

Geometry Wars: Galaxies Goes Gold

geometry_wars_galaxies.jpgI'm gonna be straight with you guys, I've played the original Geometry Wars once, maybe twice, and not for the usual reasons I hate games that Chris loves (his horrible taste in pretty much everything). For no real particular reason I simply never got into it, which is strange considering my disturbing lust for games involving abstract neon shapes. There was always something else to play, eventually E4 rolled around, and I resigned myself to a Geometry Wars-less future.

I've been hearing occasional tidbits about Geometry Wars: Galaxies for a while now, and the venomous pit where a heart once was occasionally felt stirrings of what you might call joy at an opportunity to revel in the unbridled glee that is Geometry Wars. The game will be available nationwide on November 20th for the Nintendo Wii and November 27th for the Nintendo DS. The Nintendo version features multiplayer mode meaning those of you honing your abstract neon shape obliteration skills will have the upper hand when challenged in single combat. Those poor unfortunate bastards duped into buying both the Wii and DS versions of the game can link the games together using Wi-Fi to unlock bonus levels to both, which is surely worth the price of both games and not a ploy to get you shell out more of your hard earned money even when totally un-necessary.

Pre-order Geometry Wars: Galaxies for the Nintendo Wii or for the Nintendo DS at our store and support the site!
