We asked you guys to come up with your best examples of crazy PopCap game cover art, and you definitely exceeded expectations. Our contest was a rousing success and we have some fantastic prizes to give away, so let's get to the losers! I mean... the people who were awesome but not as awesome as the... awesome people.
C yoolly certainly entered this contest! His grandma sounds like a cool lady.

Bfeld sure likes Homestar Runner.

Sam Spina has a dirty mind.

Nick spent his life savings on an MS Paint certification.

Tim found this game advertised in his Grandma's copy of Reader's Digest.

Winners after the jump!

While all the rest of the world was scouring the Internet for videos of their favorite Super Bowl commercials, The Weekly Geek was recording our least caustic podcast ever! Chris, Qais, Mack and Colette ramble about the dangers of man-children, squeal about Ender's Game becoming a...uh...game (speculating which other books would make good games in the process), cast a realistically pessimistic eye on Rock Band for the Wii, and unapologetically profess their rampant book-lust. Our PopCap cover contest winners are announced within, and the moment you've all been waiting for: Qais gets a new gamertag.
Download the podcast here, subscribe to the feed and check out the show notes after the jump.

The latest installment of Avatar: The Last Airbender starts off with the often-used gimmick of having something shocking start off the show that we're right in the middle of, and then cuts to a "X days earlier" scene. It's a little clichéd for Avatar's style, but I really can't think of many sci-fi or fantasy shows that haven't used it at one time or another. So anyway, Toph is suddenly captured by the local authorities and we see that Katara is the one who turned in the little blind Earthbender. Oh dip! What could have brought this on? Why, Katara? Why? Toph doesn't smell that bad, does she?
Oh so many spoilers await you, gentle reader.
Need to get caught up? You can find Avatar The Last Airbender - The Complete Book 2 Collection in our store!

On this week's podcast, Chris, Grant and Qais are joined by the ever awesome and well-spoken N'Gai Croal from Newsweek's Level Up (remix style wiki wiki scrrrch). N'Gai brought a level of intelligent discourse never before heard on The Weekly Geek, discussing issues ranging from the infantilization of games, to the portrayal of games in the media, to pronouncing fighting games dead and talking about games fulfilling their potentials. Inspiring! Download the podcast here, and then subscribe on iTunes. Hit the jump for show notes.

We at Chez Geek are unabashed fans of Goozex and while most of the rational, frontal lobe equipped set are as well, there are still a few holdouts I'm sure. If the square trade system isn't enough to make your tingle equipped bits tingle then their latest promotion almost certainly will.
The glorious bastards at Goozex are giving away Xbox 360s, and not just any 360, no they're giving away Halo 360s. That's right, now while you scream obscenities at people you'll never meet you can rest easy in the knowledge that you are the penultimate Halo fan, either that or you won an Xbox 360, either way a resounding success in whole.
Go check out the contest here and while you're there trade some games without getting completely raped by corporate America.

So I'd seen on the ol' internet a while ago about this wacky bag of chips from Doritos that had only an odd product number instead of a name. Apparently, they've got a new flavor and want us to come up with a name for it. If you win, you get free Doritos for a year. Whatever.
So anyway, whilst grocery shopping at my local Albertson's, I happened to come across a bag of these things and decided to pick it up to see what they were like. Wanna know what mystery chips taste like? Well click the jump and find out.

No, the winner isn't the worst in the world, just the contest.

That's right, I've finally picked a winner in the contest for something broken!

My broken USB Nintendo WiFi Dongle will go to international geek-kateer, Max "Milhouse" Wagner. Max lives all the way across the pond in the tiny little country of Luxembourg. I decided to pick Max because this seems to be the only possible way that he'll get to play with his DS online. He doesn't have a wireless LAN, there are no WiFi hotspots in the country, and both Nintendo and eBay will not ship to him. He may very well be the only person in the whole country who even owns a DS. And so here comes The Weekly Geek to save the day!
Now I just hope he doesn't have any problems with fixing it, making this whole thing meaningless.
Congratulations, Max!
And thanks to all who participated. Sorry, but you just couldn't beat this awesomely sad story.
